About The Company
Introduction
Established in 1952 as J. Umashankar & Company, for stock and supply of Ball & Roller bearings, the company has come a long way. It was a Partnership Concern, started by Late Shiv Dayal Mishra along with his sons with limited financial resources.
In 1977, we were appointed as agents of NTN Toyo Bearing Co. Ltd. (now NTN Corporation) and are associated with NTN since then, presently as Authorized Distributors. NTN remains till date, the only brand we deal in.
In 1993, this company became J. Umashankar & Company Private Limited and the name continues till date.
Over past 65 years, the company has seen highs and lows, has steadily progressed to create several milestones, and has turned out to be one of the leading players in the distribution of Ball & Roller bearings.
Profile
With a team of 25 people having a good leadership of experienced people, JUCO is capable of meeting any challenges with proper solutions. Our team is committed, hard-working and has the right blend of youth and experience.
We cater mainly to public sector in steel, power, coal mining, engineering and some OEMs, maintaining a sizeable inventory to provide ready or shortest deliveries.
The range covers all types of ball bearings such as deep groove, double row self-aligning, angular contact, thrust, miniature, bearing units etc. and all types of roller bearings such as spherical, cylindrical, thrust, needle, taper, etc. Apart from this, we supply multi row tapered and cylindrical bearings, spherical plain bearings & bushes, and super precision bearings–all in NTN brand which covers the entire range.
Business is done both on import-stock-sale and indenting basis to suit customer needs

- Founded the company in 1951 with a small shop

- The “J.” in J. Umashankar & Co. was in the name of his brother and Umashankar in the name of his eldest son
Mr. Mani Shankar Mishra

- A commerce graduate
- Joined the firm at an early age of 17
- Salesman par excellence – very passionate about sales
- Avid traveler – has seen the world and almost all of India
- Took up distribution of NTN Bearings back in 1977 when NTN was not known in India
- A major contributor to the NTN’s brand image which it enjoys in India today
- Did cumbersome task of brand approval in almost all types of industries
- Basic structure of the company was built by him – made the company a private limited company in 1993.
Mr. Radha Govind Mishra
- 3rd Generation
- A commerce graduate
- Joined the business at the age of 19 in 1985
- Started with sales and took over the management 20 years later in 2005
- Ensued growth, expansion and goodwill of the firm
- Active member in the Eastern India Ball Bearing Merchants’ Association
- Company has undergone a total transformation under him and the present structure of the firm was built by him
- On March 1 2018, at the 100th Centenary anniversary celebration of NTN, the company received the ‘Excellence Award – Loyalty’ under his guidance
Mr. Anant Mishra
- 4th Generation
- Did his MBA from Bangalore
- Joined the family business after finishing his education in the year 2017
- Takes care of the back-office operations
- Contributed to streamlining the working by adding the use of modern technology
