Established in 1952 as J. Umashankar & Company, for stock and supply of Ball & Roller bearings, the company has come a long way. It was a Partnership Concern, started by Late Shiv Dayal Mishra along with his sons with limited financial resources.
In 1977, we were appointed as agents of NTN Toyo Bearing Co. Ltd. (now NTN Corporation) and are associated with NTN since then, presently as Authorized Distributors. NTN remains till date, the only brand we deal in.
In 1993, this company became J. Umashankar & Company Private Limited and the name continues till date.
Over past 65 years, the company has seen highs and lows, has steadily progressed to create several milestones, and has turned out to be one of the leading players in the distribution of Ball & Roller bearings.
